MAY 15, 2015
Every day of the year is National Something-or-Other, from National Candied Orange Peel Day (May 4, you missed it) to National Grape Popsicle Day (May 27), but the national observance on Friday, May 15, is something to take seriously. Proclaimed by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, May 15 is National Peace Officers Memorial Day. In honor of all peace officers who have lost their lives on duty, select Berryhill Baja Grill locations will be saying thank you to all uniformed officers of police and sheriff departments in the area. Officers in uniform will receive any one combo plate on the menu with rice and a choice of beans, free of charge. The select Berryhill locations providing these free meals in gratitude include the original at 2639 Revere, Memorial City Mall, the West University location on Buffalo Speedway, Market Place in The Woodlands, and the Galleria area store at Post Oak and San Felipe. The offer is good for police and sheriff officers in uniform during operation hours at all participating locations. While May 15 is a special recognition day, Berryhill honors all peace officers and military personnel in uniform every day of the year by offering 50% off their purchases.
